Major news for Pokémon fans in Thailand was announced today, as the first ever Thai location of a Pokémon Center has been scheduled to open sometime this year. This will be the third Pokémon Center currently located outside Japan, joining branches in Singapore and Taipei, Taiwan. While its exact opening date is still forthcoming, the store will be opening in CentralWorld, the ninth largest shopping center in the world, located in central Bangkok.

Japanese coffee brand BOSS has announced their latest collab with The Pokémon Company, debuting lots of limited-edition merchandise like t-shirts, jackets, acrylic charms, and, of course, Pokémon-themed coffees. Most merch is available via lottery, with customers gaining entries to win by purchasing the Pokémon coffees. The new can designs will be available and the lotteries will open on June 1st, with the promotions ending August 31st. This collab is only available for customers in Japan.

The Pokémon Company is continuing its Timeless Adventure series of merchandise, this time debuting a collection starring Pikachu and the Gen III starters. The new collection features stationery, tableware, and the centerpiece, a Quagsire side table. Hoenn’s Timeless Adventure merch will arrive only at the Pokémon Center Online for customers in Japan on May 14th. It is not expected to be available at any in-store locations upon release.

The Pokémon Company is debuting the second round of “Timeless Adventure” merchandise in celebration of the franchise’s 30th anniversary, this time themed after singing. This Johto-focused drop follows the first round of Timeless Adventure merch, which featured the Kanto starters in a retro style. The new line will arrive, unusually, only at the Pokémon Center Online serving customers in Japan on April 23rd. It is not expected to be available at any in-store locations upon release.

Retail giant Target has today announced a merch collab with The Pokémon Company International in celebration of Pokémon’s 30th anniversary. Target is touting themselves as the only major retailer in the US to be collaborating with Pokémon for the milestone, and is going to be showing off more than 100 colorful items, including plenty of apparel, accessories, home goods, and beauty products, plus some toys and food items. The collection will drop at all Target stores in the US in two phases, with the first arriving in-store on May 2nd and online on May 3rd.

Athletic apparel and footwear brand Puma is announcing yet another 30th anniversary collab with Pokémon, after recently announcing their latest Pikachu sneaker. This new drop is more extensive, launching four new sneakers themed after different Pokémon, plus some new apparel to go with them. The collection will drop at Puma’s website serving the US at 9 PM PST on April 1st.

FC Seoul, the professional South Korean football club, has announced a new collaboration with Pokémon Korea, Inc. for their opening home game of the season. The collab is advertising four main features, including free souvenirs, activities and a special opening ceremony. Plus, FC Seoul Pokémon merch is scheduled to be sold beginning in May.

The Pokémon Company has announced a new kind of Pokémon Center location, scheduled to open on April 9th in Yokohama. The new location is dubbed Pokémon Center Yokohama Satellite, and functions as a smaller branch to Yokohama’s regular Pokémon Center, which is located just a six minute walk away. This new satellite location will be in the Joinus shopping center, just outside the west exit of the Yokohama train station.

The Pokémon Company is debuting a new collection of merchandise drawing inspiration from a blooming field of flowers in spring. The collection stars Grass- and Bug-type Pokémon, especially Lurantis, Roserade, and Sunflora, and features plushes, homegoods, apparel, and more. This new floral collection will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan on March 21st, and to the Pokémon Center Online on March 19th.

Lots of new merchandise has been released in the lead up to the Pokémon franchise’s 30th anniversary, and this week saw even more announcements and debuts of Pokémon-themed goods. Frequent Pokémon partner Uniqlo is offering customizable Pokopia t-shirts at their locations in Japan, while Puma, another continuing collaborator, has announced their new Pikachu sneakers. Plus, Pokémon Centers worldwide have added plenty of plushes of Ditto posing as other Pokémon, available online now.

LEGO Pokémon: Long have I awaited this day. LEGO first teased an upcoming collaboration with Pokémon back in March 2025, and now the first wave of sets have hit store shelves. As a fan of Pokémon, and Bulbagarden staff’s resident Lego Maniac, I have been waiting for this day for decades.

The Pokémon Company announced a new music player during its Pokémon Presents today which is designed to look like the original Game Boy. The system will play songs and sounds from Pokémon Red and Blue using 45 different cartridges. Also inspired by Red and Blue, Pokémon Centers worldwide are offering TCG accessories and apparel based on the games’ opening sequence, available online now.

The Pokémon Company has announced a partnership with Nippon Professional Baseball (NPB), Japan’s professional baseball league, in honor of the Pokémon franchise’s 30th anniversary. This collaboration will include Pokémon appearances at some of the league’s games, special merchandise sold exclusively at the stadiums, and events and challenges in Pokémon GO.

The Pokémon Company has officially debuted the first of its 30th anniversary merchandise coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan, which has a retro look focused on the first trio of first partner Pokémon, plus Pikachu. Pikachu will also feature as a few different plushes, some inspired by its retro 1996 appearance, and some special 30th anniversary editions. All these items will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan and at the Pokémon Center Online in the coming few weeks.

The Pokémon Company International has dropped their latest apparel collection on the Pokémon Center websites serving the US, UK, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. The new collab with Amsterdam-based high fashion brand JimmyPaul features jackets, bags, hats, and more available online now.

Online resale platform eBay has announced their celebration of the Pokémon franchise’s upcoming 30th anniversary: a live online auction of Pokémon merchandise representing its 30 year history, called the "30/30 Collection.” eBay advertises that all the items up for auction, which will include cards, games, apparel, and other merchandise, will start bidding at their original retail prices.

The release of Pokémon Pokopia is fast approaching, and the new cozy spin-off is getting its own collection of merchandise at Pokémon Centers in Japan. The collection features characters and environments from the game, including its humanoid Ditto player characters. The Pokopia merch collection will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan and at the Pokémon Center Online on March 5th, in conjunction with the game’s release.

The Pokémon Company is debuting a new collection of merchandise focused on Fighting-type Pokémon, starring favorite Fighting-types like Machamp, Croagunk, and Lucario. The “Training” collection includes plushes, stationery, and lots of apparel and accessories. New merch will arrive to Pokémon Centers in Japan on February 21st, and to the Pokémon Center Online on February 19th.

Santa Cruz and The Pokémon Company International are once again teaming up for a collection of skateboards and apparel, scheduled for release in Fall of this year. The collab celebrates the Pokémon franchise’s upcoming 30th anniversary, and offers 30 deck designs based on the most iconic Trading Card Game designs.

The “What’s Your Favorite?” campaign, celebrating 30 years of the Pokémon franchise, kicked off today with ad during Super Bowl LX. The ad features a cast of celebrities discussing their favorite Pokémon, including Lady Gaga, Trevor Noah, Charles Leclerc, Jisoo, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Lamine Yamal and Young Miko.
