She must NOT be unwilling to be open with me emotionally or otherwise. Furthermore, I would prefer that she don't be incredibly secretive in general.
She must NOT have commitment issues.
She must NOT take life too seriously, and have a good sense of humor and thick skin.
She must NOT be ignorant. They don't have to be stupid, but they must not assume they know everything and think they're never wrong.
She must be a cat person. I've got two and I'm not getting rid of them.

As an fyi, my current girlfriend fits all of these qualities. I'm quite happy.

Personality wise, I want someone I can talk to. If I'm gonna be with someone, we need to share interests. All relationships are built on shared experiences, so unless a couple has something they can do together, like go hiking or play video games, that relationship is quite doomed. Also, honesty is extremely important. Not just in the "not lying" sense, but that's important too. I mean, like, you need to be able to tell your partner when they're bothering you. If you just stew, all those bottled up emotions are gonna bite you in the ass later.
Finally, I'm a strong-willed person, so I need someone who won't cave easily. That makes things too boring.
Appearance wise, I like girls with short hair, and guys that are pretty. Otherwise, so long as the other person ain't hideous, morbidly obese, and practices basic hygiene, it's all good.
