GTS impossible trades?

Maybe I'm missing something here, but why do 50+% of the trades in the GTS just want a Reshiram/Zekrom level 9 and under?

It truly baffles me and prevents me from liking it (unless Gamefreak does anything about it...)

Anyone have any insight?
 
quite often this:

not sure if you know but the GTS can be tricked to evolve your pokemon:

1 - put pokemon you want to evolve & ask for something impossible to get (but unlikely to be hacked) ie a level 1-10 male gardevoir

2 - DON'T EXIT GTS

3 - make a trade (just any old trade on there bidoof or w/e)

4 - STILL DON'T EXIT GTS

5 - take your original pokemon back & due to the other trade it will evolve your pokemon

(you probably know this already but it's pretty handy if you don't know it!)

it seems like there are things other than boldores or gravelers on there. It's more like a lvl 60-something hydreigon for lvl 9- reshiram. I don't think that above explanation works for a lot of those idiotic trades

It's really ruining my experience in the GTS...

What I would like to know is why haven't these kind of trades been outright banned. Really, how hard is it for Gamefreak to install a filter that prevents that sort of trade from even being posted? If I can't ask for a male Latias, why can I ask for a level 9 and under Liepard and not get denied? It makes no sense to me. :confused:

It also almost tempts me to get a copy of PokeSav and trade those nitwits that kind of crap just to slag them off. I'd love to see the expression on some twerp's face when he/she hits the GTS to try and evolve something, only to be greeted with a brand new level 2 Reshiram with a crappy Nature named "Sucker!"... :evil:
 
I used that trick to evolve Pokèmon before, but the problem was finding a Pokèmon trade to do in the meantime. Even if I searched for a freaking Rattata I only found level 4s offered for a level 100 Mew.
There's no point in cloning a Rattata (unless they're holding something valuable) and it doesn't evolve through trading. So the point is? No Rattata is worth a lv 100 Mew, not even Joey's.
It is quite problematic, as it makes it harder to actually do a trade when no one asks for anything reasonable:(

...except that I believe someone tried that already but couldn't trade because the GTS refused to take such a Pokémon.

i have the same problem. here is crap i saw: some idiot/noob offered a lv.100, SHINY haxorus for a level 9 and under zekrom! it makes makes me want to do pokesav just for that too! i would give them lv.1 with splash, splash, splash, and splash. you can give them the same move more than once. i saw a level 1 turtwig for a level 100 shaymin! what a ripoff! what ripoffs did you see? and when n00bs do that, i just wanna yell: "stop being idiots and be reasonable!"

Is this a trick question? BECAUSE IT'S PRACTICALLY THE REASON I CAN'T EVEN USE THE GTS FOR GOODNESS SAKE. EVEN WHEN SEEKING LEGENDARIES THEY GET UNFAIR.

So true.

It dose make me mad that every shiny japanese mew is offered for level 9 0r lower lengendarys. on the gts just makes me want to give that person the pokemon they asked for and named it YOUFAILED! I also agree with I think japan is trolling us.
 
It's a mess. It's really frustrating for people who want legitimate trades, things are blocked out by things like that.

Also I have heard that the trade glitch does not work this gen.

Because events and new games may make these things posibile (while I really doubt such a thing would happen to pokemon that are only one gender). Level 1 legendary dragons happened last gen with an event. Underleveled pokemon happen every now and then (I loves my caught at level 8 venomoth from Soul Silver) so if they were to ban these things, legit pokemon would be considered hacks by the GTS. D:

No there isn't. I KNOW someone tried it already (as she is my friend and she tried it when I found a shiny bannette and latios for her to trade them for... it wouldn't let her. :c
 
This is indeed a sucky situation. But even so, I've always found that with the GTS, patience pays off big-time. Yesterday I traded Reshiram for a Nincada. Ordinarily that would be a bad trade, but not when the Nincada is holding a Master Ball! Last month, I traded something for a level 1 Japanese Axew on a hunch that turned out correct; said Axew was indeed from the Mystery Egg event. Naive nature, perfect Speed IV, and it was untouched to boot! It is now a level 100 Haxorus, EV-trained, and it kicks some major ass on random Wifi battles.

But yeah, whenever I see people asking for level 9 and under stuff (usually Reshiram or Zekrom, but I've also seen people asking for level 9 and under Archeops, Pignite, Victini, Kyurem, and I THINK Zoroark), I just want to reach through the DS and punch them.* It's people like them that come close to ruining the GTS experience.

EDIT: Oh yeah, another GTS fail. I needed a Smoochum for my Pokedex. I found one on the GTS, other guy wanted a Weedle. OK, reasonable enough. Game doesn't let me trade the only Weedle I have. Same response as I got back when you couldn't trade unnamed Cofagrigus, Skuntank, or Marshtomp. What the hell gives?!**

What I dont get is why people would even bother trading for something that you cant get:eek:hdear:
 
I already tried trading Lv. 10 and under Zekrom and Reshiram from PokeSav and nada. Same for GTS negotiations. >.>

Atleast I managed to get an apparently legit Lv. 52 Zekrom caught at N's Castle for a cloned Mewtwo. o.o
