Clarification - Double posting

Just wondering, is it ever okay to double post? Say, you have a thread in the art section where you showcase all your sprites, and you have the last post. Then, a while later, you want to post more sprites, but you don't want to just edit your previous post because then no one will be able to see it. Would it be okay to double post?

Generally, we don't allow double-posting. Several forums and subforums do have some exceptions though. If you're ever unsure as to whether a forum allows double posting or not (such as the Artist's Alcove), don't hesitate to ask one of the forum's moderators for clarification.

What about when we accidentally double post?

(Like when the forum creates the same post twice)

We'll never infract you for double posts caused by server lag, but we would appreciate it if you would delete them for whenever they happen.

If you are in the Artists Alcove they prefer you edit the post and just add them in. I have (and had) an art shop and I recieved a warning saying to please just edit the post instead of double/triple posting.

Well, if the thread is bumped way back, no one will get to see them, will they?

Anyway, I asked them; they said that it's okay as long as we're adding more and not just bumping to increase attention.

Please note: The thread is from 15 years ago.
Please take the age of this thread into consideration in writing your reply. Depending on what exactly you wanted to say, you may want to consider if it would be better to post a new thread instead.
