If this episode confirms that Serena's main goal is to be a Pokemon Rider, the chances of her getting a Delphox has just gone out the window.

But anyway, I sort of hope she ends up getting Rhyhorn as a teammate, simply because it's one of those old never-really-in-the-spotlight Pokemon I'd be interested seeing on the main cast.

I hope this is her quest. I'd like to see how interesting the writers can make Pokemon racing. Anything to keep contests out of the show. We don't need to see sparkles flying everywhere or water somehow exploding on impact. I'm sure they can make racing a lot more epic than that.

Cool racing jumpsuits!? I hope Clemont and Bonnie get one too. I'm curious, Clemont already has a jumpsuit on so will he keep it, or gain a racing one? Yay! I have the vibe we might get a shirtless Clemont scene (locker rooms). Clemont might change in and out of his jumpsuit then take a shower after the Rhyhorn race. Or we might have to wait two more episodes after this one if not. I also smell a possible new rival appearence. It would be nice if they gave Serena a rival in that episode.

I know this sounds incredibly stupid, but when I saw the title, I thought about Serena changing her skin color to showcase the customization feature. Then I remembered her supposed racing goal and facepalmed hard.

Anyway, I'm really curious as to how races (racing) are handled in the anime? Will there be obstacle courses? (Probably not, since I doubt Rhyhorn can jump high.) What kind of Pokemon would we likely see? Ponyta, Rapidash, Arcanine, Gogoat and Skiddo are pretty obvious.

For some reason the book "Unsafe at any speed" came to my mind when i heard about this episode. i sure hope Serena wears the proper safety gear unlike in the second episode. Although i am curious if that ryhorn has one of those turbocharged ecoboost engines under the hood?

I'm really looking forward to this one, would love it if both Ash and Serena learned a thing or from another, that'd be nice :)

Sihorn racing seems to be just exclusive to that, Sihorn, unfortunately. I really hope racing isn't her goal, if it is there's real point to her having a Fokko since she'd just squash the baby fox. Plus racing would get repetitive and boring really really fast if they're seen ever so often.
 
Just like the other sidekicks with a specific-type-of-Pokemon goal, I doubt Serena will have nothing but ride-able Pokemon on her roster. Iris only had 2 dragon-types out of 4. Cilan only had Pansage as his grass-type, but then again his goal was to be an S-Rank Connoisseur rather than a grass type specialist. Misty was the only one to really stick to having her roster reflect her goal, minus Togepi/getic. So Serena could get a ride-able Pokemon as her "star ride" and have a grab bag of others.

I'm curious how Serena will be portrayed with her goal in this episode. Would riders have "ranks" like the Connoisseurs? Are there multiple races as a "league"? etc etc.

Then TR will want to kidnap Pikachu and Rhyhorn and blahblahbla--*presses fast forward button*

Me too. From what I've seen so far it doesn't really seems like the reason for her practicing for Rhyhorn racing is that she enjoys doing them, it actually looks more like she does it just because her mother wants her to do so.
 
From the second episode when her mom was making her practice it seemed like she really didn't enjoy doing Rhydon racing. I'm wondering if maybe she's doing it so that she doesn't disappoint her mom, or maybe in the end she'll grow a liking for them. Who knows.
